Description

The Whorl Base Table Lamp pairs a rounded black base with a tall, natural-tan shade. Wavy markings across the base give its simple silhouette depth, while the slender stem leaves a clear gap between the two contrasting forms. Its restrained colours make the texture the focal point.
Why You'll Love It
  • A pronounced grain-like pattern gives the black base interest even when the lamp is unlit.
  • The coarse weave of the cylindrical shade introduces a softer visual texture.
  • A slim stem balances the broad shade and squat rounded base.
  • Black and natural tan sit comfortably alongside pale wood, cream upholstery and dark accessories.
Materials & Finish

The supplier lists metal as a material and describes the shade as hessian. The rounded black base has a pronounced wavy, grain-like surface pattern, while the slim black stem and natural-tan cylindrical shade bring contrasting textures to the silhouette.

Styling Note

Place it towards one end of a wooden sideboard, with a low bowl or a small stack of books beside it. A plain cream wall keeps the outline clear, and leaving space around the base lets the wavy pattern stand out.
Why We Love It

The rippling pattern rewards a closer look without disturbing the lamp's clean outline.
