Wavy Edge Pedestal Bistro Table

Description

This bistro table pairs a thick, wavy-edged top with a slender antique brass pedestal, giving a table for two a distinctive sculptural presence. The cream faux-travertine finish follows the curved outline and textured edge, while the simple circular base keeps the overall shape calm. It makes everyday dining feel a little more special without needing an elaborate table setting.

Why You'll Love It
  • Seats two for breakfast, coffee or a shared meal.
  • A central pedestal leaves the outline clear of corner legs.
  • Cream and antique brass tones pair easily with warm wood and soft upholstery.
  • The tabletop has a protective topcoat over its decorative finish.
Materials & Finish

The glass fibre-reinforced concrete top has a hand-applied water-transfer finish that creates its cream faux-travertine appearance, sealed with a protective topcoat. Subtle tonal markings and a textured, undulating edge give it the visual depth of stone. Beneath it, the steel pedestal is powder coated in an antique brass finish. Colour and texture can vary between pieces; minor surface imperfections and nonstructural hairline cracks may occur.

Care & Use
  • For outdoor use, place only in a covered area.
  • Cover or store indoors when not in use and during poor weather; bring indoors during cold seasons.
  • Clean with water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive, bleach-based, ammonia-based, citrus or acidic cleaners.
  • Wipe spills promptly. Use felt or rubber pads beneath objects left on the surface for extended periods.
  • Use a trivet beneath hot objects and do not apply adhesives directly to the surface.
  • Apply wax within two months of installation, then every three to six months according to use and location. Use natural beeswax or carnauba wax labelled food-safe and non-toxic.
  • Wax before winter. Cover and seal during extreme weather.
  • Avoid bath oils near the table; prolonged surface contact can cause permanent discolouration.
  • Stone soap is an optional choice for ongoing maintenance and conditioning.
Styling Note

Pair it with two chairs with curved backs to echo the tabletop, using tan upholstery or warm timber to complement the brass finish. In a breakfast corner, keep the centrepiece low and simple so the irregular edge remains visible, and allow space around the table to pull both chairs out comfortably.

Why We Love It

The rough-textured edge is the detail that earns this table its place: it gives the familiar bistro shape a pleasingly organic character.
