Description

This decorative lidded pot pairs a broad, squat silhouette with a heavily mottled charcoal-black surface. A raised shoulder band and rounded, ringed finial give its compact form the presence of a sculptural ornament.
Why You'll Love It
  • The low, rounded profile provides a useful counterpoint to taller decorative pieces.
  • Charcoal-black colouring creates a strong contrast against pale wood, cream walls and light shelving.
  • Concentric rings on the finial echo the bands around the body, giving the silhouette a distinctive rhythm.
Materials & Finish

Listed as ceramic, the pot has a dark charcoal-black surface with brown mottling and a heavily distressed appearance. Irregular markings and rubbed-looking areas give the rounded form plenty of visual texture.

Styling Note

Place on an indoor console or open shelf beside a taller, smooth-sided vase. Leave a little space around the pot so the shoulder band and finial remain visible.
Why We Love It

The ringed finial repeats the body's horizontal bands on a smaller scale, making the lid an integral part of the sculptural outline.
