Description

This large hurricane vase gives flowers a bold, dark backdrop, with an opaque black glass cylinder set on a wooden base. Its generous, open form lets an arrangement take the lead, while the clean silhouette has enough presence to display empty. It can also hold candles, giving you another way to use the piece as your display changes.
Why You'll Love It
  • A wide, open cylinder suits a full floral arrangement.
  • Opaque glass keeps stems out of sight for a clean display.
  • The large silhouette works as a focal piece, even without flowers.
  • Suitable for flowers or candles, so you can change its role with the occasion.
Materials & Finish

Handmade using mouth-blown glass, the vase has a smooth, glossy black surface that catches reflections across its simple curved walls. The paulownia wood base shows a warm brown grain, providing a textured counterpoint to the glass.

Styling Note

Give it space on a sideboard or console, with a pale wall behind to define the dark outline. Choose flowers or foliage that spread above the broad rim, and keep neighbouring objects lower so the arrangement has room to stand out.
Why We Love It

The low wooden base gives the tall black cylinder a pleasingly grounded proportion without interrupting its spare outline.
