Description

The Facetstem Bistro Table pairs a round top with a sharply faceted pedestal, giving an everyday dining table the presence of a sculpture. Its taupe travertine appearance softens the angular shape with subtle surface markings. The result is a distinctive centrepiece for a breakfast spot or dining nook, with enough visual interest to leave the tabletop simply dressed.

Why You'll Love It
  • A circular top keeps the outline free of projecting corners.
  • The single central pedestal gives you flexibility when arranging chairs around it.
  • Taupe tones sit comfortably alongside warm wood, pale upholstery or darker accents.
Materials & Finish

Cast from 100% glass-fibre-reinforced concrete, the table has a sealed surface with a travertine appearance. Fine markings and tonal variation give the finish depth across both the top and pedestal. Colour, texture and porosity can vary; small surface imperfections and non-structural hairline cracks may also occur in the concrete.

Care & Use
  • For indoor use or covered outdoor areas only.
  • Clean with water and a mild, non-abrasive, non-ammoniated soap.
  • Avoid abrasive, bleach-based, ammonia-based, citrus-based or acidic cleaners.
  • Stone soap may be used for ongoing maintenance and conditioning.
  • Wipe up spills promptly, particularly oil spills.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with oils or acidic substances; keep bath oils away from the surface.
  • Use felt or rubber pads under objects left on the surface, especially unglazed ceramics.
  • Use a trivet under hot objects.
  • Do not apply adhesive tape or other adhesives directly to the surface.
  • Apply wax within two months of installation, then every three to six months according to use and location.
  • Choose either natural beeswax or carnauba wax; the wax must be food-safe and non-toxic.
  • Wax outdoor pieces thoroughly before winter; cover them and raise them off the ground during cold seasons.
  • In extreme weather, keep outdoor pieces covered and sealed; move them indoors for cold seasons.
Styling Note

Pair with chairs that have curved backs to echo the round top, and leave the pedestal visible beneath. A low ceramic bowl keeps the setting relaxed; against a dark wall, the pale taupe finish and angular base become especially clear.

Why We Love It

The pedestal's narrow waist gives this substantial-looking form an unexpectedly elegant profile.
