Description

This console table makes a feature of its deep, asymmetrical top, with a sweeping lower edge and rounded ends set above a broad pedestal base. The sculptural profile gives a vase or a favourite object a striking stage, while the cream and light-brown palette keeps the overall effect warm and easy to live with.

Materials & Finish

Both the top and base are made from sealed glass fibre reinforced concrete. A cream travertine-effect finish gives the top subtle tonal markings, while the light-brown timber-effect base has the appearance of vertical grain. These contrasting surface patterns give the substantial forms depth and detail.

Care & Use
  • For indoor use or covered outdoor areas. Bring indoors during cold seasons.
  • Clean with mild soap and water; wipe spills promptly.
  • Avoid abrasive, bleach-based, ammoniated and acidic cleaners.
  • Use trivets for hot items and felt or rubber pads beneath objects left on the surface.
  • Do not apply adhesive tape directly to the surface.
  • Wax within two months of installation, then every three to six months. Wax before winter if outdoors.
  • Use a non-toxic, food-safe natural beeswax or carnauba wax.
  • Cover and seal during extreme weather; keep raised off the ground during cold seasons.
  • Natural colour, texture and porosity variations, surface marks and non-structural hairline cracks may occur.
Styling Note

Place it against a plain wall so the curved underside remains clearly visible. Try a tall ceramic vase towards one end and a lower object at the other, leaving an open stretch of top between them to let the shape do the work.
